This Deponent, Thomas Giles on his oath saith,
I am a Farmer residing at Glendaruel.
I am husband to the deceased Frances Ann Giles the subject of the present inquiry. She is fifty-six years of age. On the night of the 8th instant she retired to bed about 8 1/2 o'clock. She was then in her usual state of health. She had about one half hours sleep on her left side when she awoke and turned on her back after lying on her back for a short time she complained of being short of breath. She then made a rush out of bed and went into the verandah. I struck a light and followed her. She said I cannot last long at this. I then despatched my son for Doctor Gordon. We sat in the verandah for half an hour me supporting her then carried her in and placed her on the bed in about twenty minutes afterwards she expired. She had been complaining of shortness of breath for some time past. When Doctor Gordon arrived she was dead.
