Amos William SCHUMACK d 14 May 1906 aged 43 yrs Creswick Hospital s/o Amos SCHUMACK/Mary SHEA. The informant was Phoebe JACKSON, sister, of Allendale who stated that Amos was a miner and not married. He was buried 15 May 1906 Creswick Cemetery, service conducted by Rev JW Arnold C of E [Death certificate 5051]

With the death of Amos SCHUMACK Jnr in 1906 the Irish Palatine SHUMACK name vanished from Victoria after only two generations. However, the four daughters of Amos SHUMACK Snr had large families producing 32 children between them and consequently hundreds more descendants in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and New Zealand.
