Daniel SHOEMAKER was born abt 1745 Ballingrane (Townland in Nanatinan Parish co Limerick) s/o John SHOEMAKER (wife's name unknown).
Daniel SHOEMAKER was buried 4 Apr 1822 of Loughboy, Rathkeale Parish, Co Limerick. [HJ p113]

John (father of Daniel) was born abt 1703 son of the original Irish Palatine, Bartholomaeus SCHUMACHER (b abt 1668) (wife's name unknown).

Hank Jones says, 'Perhaps he was the Bartel SCHUMACHER enrolled on a Huldigung list of citizens of Neunkirchen/Heidelberg in the year 1690'. [HJ p112]
Barth SCHNOENMAKER with wife and 5 chn were in the 4th Party of Palatines in Holland in 1709 [Rotterdam Lists HJ p112]
Bartel SCHUMACHER aged 41, his wife, sons aged 11 and 6 yrs, daughters aged 17, 14 and 8 yrs, Lutheran, Husbandman and Vinedresser were in the 4th arrivals in London later in 1709 [HJ p113]
Bartle SHOEMAKER was head of a Palatine family in Ireland on 13 Jul 1715 and was recorded as Barthw. SHOEMAKER on 29 Sep 1720 living on the Southwell Estate in County Limerick [Groves Papers HJ p113]

Daniel had an older brother Jacob (b abt 1735) whose son Peter was the father of the 7 SHUMACK brothers who settled in NSW in the Canberra area of Australia from 1840.

On 17 Apr 1771 in the Church of Ireland at Rathkeale, County Limerick, Daniel SHOEMAKER of Particles, married Catherine PIPER of Rathkeale [IGI Batch No M700591 extracted from parish records]
Catherine PIPPER (PIPER/PFEIFER/PYPER) was chr 10 Aug 1750 Rathkeale, Limerick d/o Peter PIPPER and Elizabeth (BOVENHIZER) [IGI Batch No C700591 extracted from parish records]
Catherine SHOEMAKER was buried 27 Mar 1831 aged 84 yrs of Danesfort near Mallow, Co Cork.

The emigrant ancestor of Catherine PIPER was Johann Peter PFEIFFER aged 57, a Miller and a Lutheran, who arrived in London in the 3rd Party of Palatines on 2 June 1709 with his wife and sons (Jacob) aged 19 and (John) 5 yrs. [London Lists, HJ p91]
He seems to have been the 'Johan Peter PFESFFER of Mausweiler' (Maßweiler) (?Hausweiler) who joined the Rotterdam Lutheran Church on 22 Jul 1709 [HJ p91]
Jacob PHYFER was head of a Palatine family in Ireland on 13 Jul 1715 and on 29 Sep 1720 he was on the Southwell Estate in County Limerick. [Groves Papers HJ p92]
Jacob's wife is thought to have been the 'Widow Christiana PIPER' bur 18 Dec 1762. [Rathkeale Churchbook HJ p19]
Son of Jacob and Christiana was Peter PIPER of Killeheen who married 2 May 1749 Elizabeth BOVENHIZER. (Killeheen is a Townland in the Parish of Kilscannell, Co Limerick, P O'C p36)
